My life in a nutshell...

Let's start from the beginning. My name is Deanna, I grew up in Florida and found the love of my life here, so I never left.  I had the great American dream childhood with two married parents, a brother, and little dog too.  No picket fence, but it was still pretty normal.  I went to school, had good friends, and got straight A's.  I spent my summers visiting relatives in Mississippi where we typically sat around talking, singing hymns, or hiding in the woods near the grandparents house.  I loved summer.  The only thing I missed out on during my elementary years was a dog.  I begged and pleaded for one and even tried walking my brother....  It wasn't enough.  I wanted a fluffy dog to love, snuggle, and play with.  Finally, my Dad gave in and said once I was twelve I could have one.  He thought either I would forget or at least I'd be old enough to help with it.  I didn't forget.  In comes Misty.

Middle school was awkward and not over nearly fast enough.  I made some new friends and went through some terrible fashion choices (such as over-sized T-shirts with carpenter jeans or short shorts).  High school was better. More A's and a few art shows but I was painfully shy so I missed out on a lot. I did get to go on amazing 17 day trip to Europe! Another bright spot was at the end of Senior year I met a guy...Noah... who turned out to be "The One."  But I'm not quite there yet.
.

So I went away to college at the University of Florida while my family moved to Alabama and took my little dog too.  Misty bonded with my Mom even more and I knew that she was going to be spending all here days in the new "Sweet Home."  My Christian funny guy, Noah, and I decided to continue dating...long distance.  We used calling cards and chatted using a web cam.  Eventually I upgraded to a cell phone...FINALLY.  We saw each other on the weekends that I wasn't studying and Noah wasn't in fire school. A's were a lot harder to come by in college at UF but I loved my time there.  Noah became a firefighter and started saving lives.  I finally graduated with my Bachelors in Animal Sciences specializing in Biology.  Somehow we managed to find the time to get engaged and Mom and I planned the wedding via phone for the most part :)  I did buy my dress on the Spring Break BEFORE we got engaged.  Noah was making payments on the ring and I knew about it all (I just didn't know the exact day and how). It was the most convenient time to look for dresses, and Noah gave me his blessing to do so.  It made sense he said. I endured some skeptical looks but found my dream dress.

So what happened next?  Two short months after graduation...we got married in Alabama.  It was very sweet and very beautiful.  My only regret is that I never got to eat anything besides cake at the reception.  But a lovely day getting married to my wonderful husband.

So what came next?  A first job for me in healthcare.  Noah changed careers from firefighting to work in the court system.  We took a trip to Canada.  That next year, I knew what we needed for our little family...A PUPPY.  Some things never change.  She was like my first child ;) my furbaby so to speak.

First came love, then came marriage, then...yep. you guessed it...baby in a baby carriage.  Our bouncing baby boy Elijah was born in March 2010. He was super serious and always studying something.  Who knew this serious little man would be the acrobatic mischievous 3 year old he is now???  I swear this boy is always into something.

6 weeks old Elijah                                               3 year old Elijah

I became a middle school science teacher shortly after Elijah was born and loved every minute with my students who were ALWAYS interesting and definitely a lot of work.  I won't lie, I was nervous when I found out last fall that I was expecting Baby #2.  But I made it through another entire pregnancy with hyperemesis and Baby Isaiah was born in April 2013.

So that readers is me in a nutshell.  I love God, I love my family, I love my life.  Things that I enjoy doing? Painting, taking pictures, watching tv comedies and dramas mostly, reading books, and playing on my iPhone.  It's a full, busy life that I love and I am grateful for every minute.
